Lance Jones trained classically under Patrick Rivers and subsequently studied jazz at Wavendon college.

He has played at various locations in the US and Europe both solo piano playing and with a singer.

In addition to appearances at venues around the world, he has been the musical director for various pantomimes and shows including The Wizard of Oz, My Fair Lady, Moby Dick and Billy.
